No bad weather, just bad clothing

Georgia and I had the trail to ourselves this morning, most likely because of the rain and 40 degree temps. Too bad for everyone else--they missed the waterfall.

And this dog, who won't go beyond the back stoop to pee when it's raining, no matter how long it's been--well, she was zooming around like a crazy dog. And then she conked out the rest of the day.

Hands

Those hands of his are getting so big and so capable. The first pictures are from earlier today, when he was focused on painting. The last picture was how he was holding his hands date falling asleep.

We had a pretty awesome day. Lots of fun, love, family, and (maybe too much) food. Can't wait to do it again in a few days!

One more reason...

...having a 5 year old is pretty cool---he's already taken it upon himself to put out milk and cookies for Santa without any prompting from us.

Testing...

...the furniture at Room and Board last weekend. He took it upon himself to go through all the searches and tell us what different colors everything came in. He really liked a cowhide ottoman and declared we should get it. When I asked him where we'd put it, he thought for a moment, then said "In the big room." There was very clearly an implied "duh" in his statement. He might have a bit of his father in him?
