Reality or a pipe dream, you decide.

Our contractor is still telling us he can have us in the house by Nov 1. I've given up holding my breath long ago, but I would certainly be pleasantly surprised if this really happened.

We passed our gas and water inspections, electric will hopefully be next week and will hopefully go well, since walls can't be put up until that is okayed.

Good-vibe-sending, crossed fingers, incantations and the like continue to be appreciated.

Maybe mom can say a novena? or is it novina? Whichever. There must be a patron saint of contruction.

Well, I'm not really into that novena thing. St. Jude is the patron saint of hopeless cases, but that's not really the case here.Speriamo!

I hope we're not quite at the St. Jude point yet! Isn't there a patron saint of sheet rock or
electric wiring that we can start off with?

St. Thomas the Apostle is the patron saint of construction workers.

I don't know about sheetrock ...

St. Thomas will do.

Wow, sounds like you're taking on some high and mighty measures to get this job done. Well I'm in to spread some Good Requests to get this house done. Also praying for a mini vacation down in MD, hint, hint!!!

Just do what you can and keep a roof over your heads!!!
